Well I finally got a chance to visit Amanda's hometown of Morristown and meet her family as well. After effectively getting lost the first attempt, I eventually mad it to the Manda homestead with her help of course. I have to admit, it's a nice little spread they got there complete with a lake in the backyard.
I first met her mother who was a pretty cool chick and then I met her little sister who barely noticed I was there, then I met her boyfriend and daughter (Noelle). The boyfriend was nice enough, but Manda's niece didn't like me one bit as she flashed me the evil eye and started crying. Sigh.... I have that effect on babies. Oh yeah, I also got aquainted with Manda's two dog who were very friendly and goofy just like she said.
I had a damn good there and resisted the urge to have strawberry shortcake (I'm the man) and I enjoyed watching Manda's mom and Noelle interact. Eventually Noelle started to warm up to me and smiled a couple of times, but she still didn't quite know what to make of me. It's amazing how much alike she and Manda look like each other.
Anyway, Manda decides to introduce me to her neighbor Ms. Carter who was a real trip to talk to. Apparently we had a lot in common sense she used to live in West Knoxville, too as well as her children. Didn't know any of them since they are about 5 years older than me, but it was still cool talking about the old knox county/Farragut school system.
Oh yeah, I also met the third dog of Amanda's who goes by Gimlet or Rover. Ms. Carter and her kinda share the same dog. This was my favorite pooch because it reminded me so much of my old dog. Amanda let me play with him for a couple of minutes before telling me that he likes to roll around in shit. Great.... just great.
Well it started getting late and we never got a chance to go in the lake so we took off to Manda's house. While we were gone, her biker uncle had come by to visit who looked like a Hell's Angel, but he turned out to be a pretty nice guy.
After that we went over to her room and looked at her photo album and I got to see her gallery of exes....Well....I can honestly say that she has an eclectic taste in guys. I also saw a pic of her friend Sarah who is a really buff bodybuilding type person and I had forgotten how BIG she was! I was so depressed. I exclaimed to Manda that she was bigger than me! I also noticed that she didn't disagree with me......sigh..... I'm so puny!
Anyway, after yapping for awhile and playing with tarot cards, she ended up passing out on the bed while I mooched off her cable. Eventually I had to go and asked her to escort me out since she lived deep in the boonies and there was not way I wasn't going to get lost.
Ended up getting home at around 2:30am. Not a bad little visit.... so tired......
