I hate this

Ever been hit with an overwhelming feeling of despair and regret? That's how I'm feeling right now and I HATE it. Although I've been pretty happy lately, I always had a feeling that this would happen, but not so suddenly and not all at once. I thought I was better prepared to handle it, but I was wrong.

Nothing else to do but face this head on and get it over with no matter what the cost.

I'll get through this. I always do.

  4. I know we talked earlier today and we both agreed that this would indeed happen one day, especially after your recent "revelation". I don't agree with your decision about avoiding that particular situation until it "blows over". I know you'd rather let things be rather than stir up some old issues, but you've got to address this crisis in some kind of way. You've always had that "you never know until you try" attitude and you encouraged me to do the same thing during my own funk.I wish you'd apply it here.

Of course I've always been a fan of following one's heart, but that's just me!
    Nice blog, btw!

  6. I think it's great that you were able to talk it out with me. I know it wasn't easy telling me all your regrets like that, I would be more worried if you didn't say anything at all. You can't keep that kind of emotion bottled up or it will consume you.
Concerning the mistake you regret the most, I know it's pretty frustrating when you think you've made peace with something and then those old emotions suddenly come flooding back, but it happens to everybody.
Writing it all down was a good idea, but given the volitility of the situation, I would refrain from that "following the heart" business. No sense reopening old wounds. I think you should lay low until you're over this little bump in the road.

Btw, I would've emailed you this, but my account doesn't like your gmail for some reason. I hope you don't mind, kid!

  7. I agree with CS. With everything you've told me, it sounds like you'd be repeating yourself. I know you are a wonderful guy. Just tell yourself that what's bothering you doesn't matter...because it doesn't. You're fine as you are. You don't need anyone else. Hang around some unhappy couples...maybe that would help. Or think about all of the freedom you have to do whatever you want whenever you want. I think it's nice to not have to answer to anyone.

  12. So true! It's funny how your so called friends suddenly don't have time when you're going through an emotional crisis, but they expect you to listen to every painful detail when some a##hole dumps them or they break a nail. ;P

    Hang in there!

  14. Annonynous -- Libby knows him too (unless Libby is Annonymous. Very mysterious...)

I am so glad you didn't jump off the stupid cliff!! I gotta admit, I was concerned about you. But now that you've taken your prescription, everything's all good.

    Don't make me smack you!!

  15. Hey! I know Vince in real life too! Ever since college. Hmph!

I agree with J though. I'm glad you didn't do what you were thinking about doing. That would have bitten you in the butt a thousand times over.
There's a time and place for that kind of thing and that *definitely* wasn't one of them.

  16. This is Libby. Yeah, I meant to say CR intead of CS. CS = Claire. Claire, I, J~, and Ray know Vincent in real life.

  19. cheer up vincent! Lol, can't be as bad as that damn "teenage angst" eh?

  20. wow. After reading all his anti-women rants I never would've thought that he'd have so many female friends

  21. Vincent, I know you probably still hate me and you told me not to come on your blog anymore, but I just had to let you know that I really hope that you get pass whatever emotional hardhship you're going through right now. I'm sure this means nothing to you, but I just thought you should know.
    I won't bother you again.

    love, your friend

  22. Little abomination -- That's the difference between his blog and real life. We all know that they are just rants - something he had to vent about at the time. He treats his friends very well. *laugh* As long as he has this outlet!

So, Abomination, when are you going to post on your blog again?

    ReplyDelete
  23. J~ is absolutely right! And I forgot about Kendra. So here's the LONG list of Vincent's friends who read this blog.

    Amanda
    Chaunda
    Claire
    J~
    Kendra
    Libby
    M
    Ray

Eight girl friends. And for good reason. He's a good guy!

And I'll bet Vincent a hundred dollars that I STILL left someone out.

  24. Oh, clothing optional group hug for everyone! Seriously, I really want to thank you guys for your support during my time of need. This is why you're my friends. All of you prevented me from doing something incredibly insane that all of us would've regretted (what was I thinking?!!) I'm not saying that I won't relapse, but I can count on all of you to pull me back until I get completely through this. Thanks again.

Kendra: You're a pain in the ass, but I never hated you. I was just...disappointed by your actions. I also said don't bother commenting on my blog if you can't control your temper. Check your email if you haven't already.

  25. That first sentence cracked me up! You know you really should consider doing an entry on the fact that you weren't contemplating suicide seeing as how a commenter or two thought that and your last comment could be interpreted that way. Then again, the drones that think that will never be able to reach anything but ludicrous conclusions so you can't win.
